One is comfortable to wear, the other is relaxing to wear.

I have a good idea, how about you drive to a store and try both types on.

I have a better idea, you read the thread.

Already stated I dont have all this stuff available to me. I live in a town full of poor people.

According to your profile, you do live in Manassas, VA. In that case, I stand by what I said and what phucheneh said. Stop being a hermit and go to a fucking store. There are tons and tons of stores all over northern virginia. There are at least 2 malls (one of them a huge outlet mall) near you.

This year's (?) cuts from Levi, I felt were the worst ever.

The color/washes were of the worst choices this year, and the fits and denim feel are all wrong.

I've had a few pairs of Levi's in the past that were absolutely very comfortable. A year or two ago, Lee "Heritage" varieties were my favorite. Granted, I always go with Bootcut and specific fit from there is an on-the-whim decision based on that specific pair.

I had to buy more this year, and was turned off by all the jeans available at JC Penney this season.
I went over to American Eagle - the jeans this year actually seem to be holding up better than AE jeans in the past. It helps that I also got them for $30/pair.
This year, AE's "Original Bootcut" fit and feel like a dream.

I have a pair of bootcut from Guess from like four years ago. The hem's got fairly destroyed, I do need to get them re-hemmed because they were absolutely the most cloud-like pair of jeans I've owned. So soft. They are faded black, which is awesome for when I can make them work, but it's not often (not at all with my brown oxford? boots this winter).

Went from Levi's to Carhartt, never looked back. Wicked comfortable and has a good cell phone pocket. My ass looks awesome too, or at least thats my gay neighbor told me.

I wear the 501's. Someone gifted me a pair of 560's and I beat them with their "gift" for implying that I'm a fatty.

:hmm:

/Note to self: Buy sufsatwerk a pair of 560s and wet them down before you give them to him.

Please be gentle. :$

I don't know, but I do know that Levi and comfort in the same sentence is fucking pure blasphemy. Levi has never, and will probably never make a comfortable pair of jeans.

for fatties I guess. My 559 and 569's are pretty comfortable.

514 master race reporting in.

If you wear anything slimmer than 514s you're a manlet with chicken legs and if you wear anything baggier you're a fatty. Choose wisely.

Levi makes comfortable jeans. You just need to try the right pair.

OP: same advice. probably the only way to ever tell the difference between any type of cuts is for the individual to try them and compare themselves...I'm guessing this is why no one can give you a clear answer.

I hate, HATE shopping for jeans.

One, I'm very picky about fit and wash/color.
Two, every single pair labeled "32x32" seems to fit differently.

Whenever I go somewhere, I've been annoyed many times when the only pair of 32x32 in stock for a certain fit and color just doesn't fit me - but in a different color, to confirm sizing, it fits perfectly (but looks terrible).

Too many times has that happened. The other time, the right fit isn't even in stock.
I will not order jeans online because of the varied cuts for any labeled size. I was proven right recently, too - I figured more pairs than not seemed to fit right for AE, but the cut was a little long I think. Didn't entirely matter since I ended up not being a fan of the color once I had it on, but even if I had I would have been screwed by an ill-fitting cut.

I may have lied about Levi this year:
if I can find these locally (Levi 517), I might have to get them if they fit my legs right. I do need another lighter wash, though that might be just a tad too light for my tastes.

There seem to be some nice washes for the standard 514 (non-skinny) - but I've never seemed to find myself a fan of straight leg.
