I would go with one of the abit models, such as the is7. Abit tends to have fewer memory compatability issues. 875 is slightly faster than 865, but you won't notice it.

875 has lower latencies in the memory controller when running at 800mhz FSB (Latencies are the same as the 865PE when at 400 or 533mhz FSB).

875 supports ECC RAM, the 865 doesn't.

What does the Abit IS7 (865) or IC7 (875) offer in terms of overclocabiliy? Does the Bios allow for changing FSB, VCore, VDimm, DRAM divider, latency?

Help would be appreciated.

I will probably get and 875 myself.

In terms of overclockability, Abit is absolutely the best. I would say ASUS is only company who can introduce as good as Abit. And yes, BIOS for both mobo allows to change everything you mentioned above.

Thanks, I will soon be getting a P4 3GHZ (MO stepping) on the IC7 - G motherboard.

Not to mention a 120mm Thremalright heatsink and a 120mm fan.
