What's the deal??

Well if you ask Zuni he'll say it's not on his end. With him it seems it's always someone elses fault. Hey I didn't mind the first 20 or 30 times but now it's getting tiresome.

i just figured it was something with the network here at work. but today it wouldn't connect at all, and i could surf any other pages. was it even down or haywire for subscribers?

yup, it was down for about 20 minutes

It has happened last Friday (2/22), yesterday (2/25), and today. Somewhere around 2:30-2:45 MST. I get timeouts on the subscription side.

It's curious that it's the exact same time...

As much as I love the forums & FuseTalk, he doesn't take comments/suggestions/alerts of problems very well.

It took us months to convince him that subscriber.anandtech.com really was losing packets, whereas forums.anandtech.com was not.

I'm not saying anything about Zuni. I really don't care about the effects. I'm just curious as to the cause. 😉

I've been experiencing similar problems here in Boston ,timeouts, inability to connect at all and other sites working beautifully

Could it be because thats the time when a lot of middle and high schools get out? Notice how the timeouts are happening on school days, maybe thats just when a lot of people are signing on at the same time.

Red I thought you joined in Oct or '99. How is it now Jun 2001?

On topic, I have noticed the server screws up around the same time every day. Weird.

He thought his account had been corrupted/hacked, so he had the mods delete his account. He then re-registered, hence the new date & correspondingly low post count.

Why would anyone ever want to do that? I mean, Red Dawn's so warm and kind to everyone.

*shrug*

Anyway, I have been experiencing the same problems as everyone else. Even on the second, new subscriber server I've been having problems. It's usually corrected pretty quickly. It's not too big a deal for me.

Yeah it's almost like I give a sh!t what others think of me.

Same here, I can't even get onto AT forums sometime, and sometimes when I'm on I get the wonderful this page can not be displayed. I'm kind of surprised a mod hasn't moved this thread to the "Forum Issues" section yet. My last post like this got moved very quickly, then deleted.
