My photosmart printer stopped working and Hp recomended I reinstall 2000. So thats what I did yesterday. I had a power quest image of the os and drivers and service pack. I went to put it on and got an error and it quit.
So got out my 2000 disk and started from scratch. Everything went fine no troubles. I am installing drivers and notice my 2000 partition is drive J. It used to be E. So I go into admin tools and start moving drives around to get it back where it was before. I get to J drive and try to move it and it won't let me. I can understand this as all the shortcuts etc point to J.
I can understand this but it urks the @#%#$@ out of me. What pi$$es me off most is that my 2000 drive is after both of my cd drives now. Why did 2000 do this? 2000 is on the second partition of the first drive. and I have 2 drives.
Another question i just thought of is: Do you suppose the reason I got the error trying to restore my drive image is because my drive is on the promise controller on A7V? Do I need a dos promise driver?
