What's the deal with Fatwallet?

It seems cool but maybe I'm missing the huge **wow** factor that people seem to treat it with. Granted - I'm not a member of the forums over there and maybe I should be...but the coupon selection seems to be on par with other sites like gottadeal and so forth.

RossMAN - help me see the light.

Its not the coupon section that is great. It is the hot deal section and most importantly the finance section.

some amazing deals are born at fatwallet, or their competitor slickdeals.... which eventually shows up at fatwallet. Tho FW and SD play nice, and will state they found the deal on the other forum and who originally posted it

I personally use the slickdeals.net forums. Honestly though nothing is ever on one and not the other. Mostly cuz all the real deal hunters browse both consistently.

I used to find some great deals here in the Hot Deals forum. I guess most of the users have gravitated towards FW and SD. I visit those as well, and also Ben's Bargains. Some pretty colorful and off the wall comments from users over there.

same here. i found my best deals on AT HD but switched to FW then realized a lot of hotdeals are from SD so i went there instead.

If you want to find the HD at FW you need to watch it like a hawk. The people there will kill deals faster than you can say "Thanks a lot, jerks!".

While the best deals usually spring up there, so many people are there just to find crap to hock on eBay and turn profit from or buy crap they don't need, rather than to save themselves a couple of bucks on things they were already looking for.

SlickDeals > FatWallet

FatWallet has an awesome finance section though.

There is no perfect hot deals site. If you want the best deal you'll need to check out multiple deals sites and forums. Or if you're a friend or relative of mine just call my cell phone and ask "Hey Ross, what's the best price on a ..."

Fatwallet makes for a very skinny wallet. I tend to buy things whenever I browse there.

slickdeals hot deals forum seems to be a bit more popular than fatwallets, but both hot deals forums are fluffed with crappy deals too (sd more than fw in my opinion)

fw has a lot of really negative people
sd has a lot of really immature people

fw offers cash back, slickdeals just keeps all the money

i forgot that at had a hot deals forum...funny that FW was a spin-off from the ATHD
