David Pakman, a big cheerleader for Chorus, is very sensitive to appearing as a Zionist stooge and pretending not to know how Aipac is pronounced (AIPAC or IPAC?) after getting a lot of pushback in his attempted refutation of the Wired article. Ppl were calling him David Aipacman and his vid about the article got 1000s of dislikes on his channel.

Whats especially inconvenient for him now is that his former producer has been spilling the beans and showing many earlier references of him pronouncing Aipac correctly over the years and that Gaza is something him and BTC are trying to bury in debates.

In informal discussions of major Dem influecers (incl BTC) with Kamala Harris in 2024, he was saying its best not to discuss Gaza, that its too "divisive". So that is likely the main purpose of Chorus, to stem the increasing disgust of the Dem base with Israel.

And this is why the Democrats have such a ridiculous unfavorability rating and why I have no hope of them doing anything in 26 or 28. Voters keep telling them to go fuck their mothers when they nominate corporate pro Israel Democrats but they're gonna keep doing it because the party being allowed to follow its voting base left is more dangerous to them in their minds than Trump's Fourth Reich.

These influencers consciously avoid Gaza not because they don’t have an opinion, but because they know that some of their audience won’t like what they have to say. In a way, their silence is preferable to outright pro-Israel propaganda—but the fact that their entire media strategy revolves around ignoring difficult topics speaks volumes...

Btw, Ritchie Torres represents NYs 15th Congressional District which turns out to be the poorest in the country. Rather than addressing the needs of his district he has spoken way more often on supporting Israel which of course makes him a favorite of AIPAC. These are the sort of ppl Chorus are backing in the Dem party.
