what's the deal with all the gf/wife pic requests?

i'm guilty of this myself.

the thing is, we're already on the internet where there's an abundance of free pics of hot chicks for you to rub one out to.

what's the allure of a gf of a forum member?
is it because we just like living vicariously through other AT'er?
