What's the current "flagship" AT&T Android phone?

Because I don't give a rats ass about Apple. The only ones I'm seeing seem to be the Atrix (which is kinda small) and the Infuse? Is that it? Hell, t-mo has a bigger selection.

AT&T's android lineup really sucks ass. Think I read that they have like less than 10% of android share. For the past 3 years been importing ones that work on AT&T instead.

Quick lookup:

Looking at my current upgrade options - haven't used phone upgrade since 2006:
LG Phoenix
Motorola Atrix
Motorola Flipside
Pantech Crossover (never heard of this)
HTC Infuse
HTC Inspire <- doesn't look so bad
HTC Status
Samsung Captivate
Samsung Infuse
Sony Xperia x10

Unless you want any of those, get something from bell or rogers..

Import one and you can have almost any phone working on ATT. Of course, you have to pay the full cost or even more. Otherwise Galaxy S2. Even the HTC Sensation can work on ATT, Bell has a HTC Sensation in Canada that has 3g bands for ATT. Just make sure you don't get the t-mobile version.

Sgs 2 coming soon. Otherwise except for LTE the selection is almost identical among all the carriers. Same phones, different names, staggered releases

The Atrix is the current flagship for the next few weeks until the SGS2 hits. The Infuse is an entry level/low end smartphone with a big screen.

*sigh* Another resounding "meh" I guess.

If you don't like the Atrix, and you don't like the SGS2, what the hell do you want in a phone? Atrix is the most flexible/secure device on the market, the SGS2 is the most powerful/advanced phone on the market. If you don't find anything to like about those two devices, I'm not sure you should be looking at phones for whatever it is you want.

HTC is supposed to be bringing a new phone to ATT with qhd and dual core. Probably in November. ATT I iPhone country, makes sense to sell other carriers first

so you really don't want the best phone anywhere?

:hmm:

what other phone do you want besides the best android phone in the world right now?

Anything that's not made by Samsung. (Sorry, 2 current galaxy S series phones have left a very sour taste in my mouth)

Never said I didn't like the Atrix. I'd just like it in a larger form factor, that's all.

In the op's defense, motoblur ain't a fun thing to have either.. every phone I've tried with it on, leaves a sour taste. Might as well have sense if I'm going to waste battery juice, atleast it'll look better.

It has been getting better. The Atrix was one of the first dual-core phones (and I think the first qHD phones) and really set the pace for the year. The AT&T SGS2 looks like the best one, and the eventual HTC Holiday also looks like a winner.

it still sucks imo. I ended up buying a bell HTC desire Z to use on AT&T back when their only high end android phone was the galaxy S (captivate)

That's because the American versions of the SGS were..'blah' to say the least. This time the SGS2 does not change from the international versions (apart from the key row) and there really shouldnt be any problems. The screen alone is worth it.

Don't think I've ever heard of someone wanting a bigger Atrix but ok.

Did they get rid of RFS on the SGS2?

I had a captivate and thought the same thing, no more samsung, but after comparing the sensation/evo3d/optimus3d and sgs2 the sgs2 stood out on top. It has the quickest browser, thinnest design, 2mp front facing camera and the nicest screen out there.

Its ext4 now.
