Whats the coolest Thermaltake case (air cooled)

Ok, so I'm new yes. But I have been creeping around here for a while.

I'm building a new system and I love thermaltake cases I just wanted to knwo whats the

COOLEST (TEMP WISE) cases they have. Planning on putting in all thermaltake smart cases fan II is it and runnig them up to 4,800 rpm during gaming.

I love the old Xaser III super tower, its got 7 fans, but an old design,

I love the shark but only two bigs fans, ????

comments and suggestion as to what is the best air cooled cases, for under 200.

I also would like to know a cheap place to get cases over the net WITHOUT their stock PSU.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME>.

Thanks for the link and for stopping by.

I like the armor cases, pls it one of thermaltakes bew cases so they have had time to work out all the things that people dislike about some of the older cases.

I like that cases, but shouldn't it have a side fan to be the best cooler and what about all those holes in the front don't they total not help make airflow in thecases?

I always liket the Tsunami Dream

It is a little more reasonable in price too. The build quality is good, and is extreamly easy to install in. It uses a removable hard drive "rack", everything feels solid.

OP, you obviously know what cases Thermaltake has out there, so why are you asking us what cases they have?

Do wat I did: Get a friend to custom build ur pc case! Cheaper, but no special details like windows, tool-less installation, doors, PSU's. But like above poster said, I'm wondering the same.

He's asking which one is the best for cooling.

Iam not asking what cases they have, I know that. What I'm trying to say is what cases that they have are known for being some of their coolest (temp wise).

I know that the Tia Chi is the newest design, but that doesn't mean it has the best air flow or is the coolest case they make.

That I'm asking is from your knowing which one of the cases they have out will give me the lowest temp, on just fan cooling. I know they have new cases, that are new designs but from their line up whihc ones do they make for the lowest temps not just god looks.

Cause the shark looks dam right cool, but with just two 120's in there it doesn't seem like it can cool all that well, compaired to ones that have a front, back, side and top fans.

Just looking for some input on which case you think is the best for low temp in their line up.

My Tsunami is an excellent cooling case....just resonates like a civ. Beware if you install a raptor in any of the stock HD cages in any of the aluminum TT cases. I would think the Shark, Tsunami, Soprano, Armor are all about = w/ = fans in cooling potential.... Just a guess. 😉

I will have to ask my brother about the raptors in a TT, cause he has the dream with two raptors in it and it seemed fine.

I like the armor, but the whole front of the cases has wholes in it, I'm under the understanding that in order to get good cooling from a case you want to create air flow in the case. You do this by making the air get pulled in the case from the front and sucked out the back ( more or less) but how can yo do that with holes all in the front, sure you get alot of free air, but I think it lacks flow.

I mean I know you want to try and avoid having to many fans sucking air out and not enough putting air into the case or you get a vacum and no air in the case.

But how come most of these cases then have more fans taking air out of the case than they have fans putting air into the case.

Sorry if I'm wrong I just see that as my understanding. It makes sense to me that four fans blowing out and two pulling in is uneven. I'm I wrong or does it not matter ?

Please noise it not a problem for me as most have controls that i can adjust fan speed.

It just seems to me that case with holes all in the front does not make sense but thats me, I LOVE THE SHARK, ( the look of it) but then how does it col better than a case with fans in all the great places vs just two big fans, know what I mean ??

Please help I'm lost lol.

What are you planning on installing into this "future" case agaruvala? And welcome!! to the forums man 🙂

Planned rig to install.

AMD 64 3800 1 gig FSB
ASUS EN7800 GTX
XMS 1 gig (2 x512) PC 4300
ASUS A8N - SLI Deluxe
Sea Sonic 600w PSU
WD raptor 74gig
WD raptor 36gig
cases TBD

Yes the Tai Chi is the newest design but it really is the BEST if you want the absolute coolest case . . . it's forty pounds of solid aluminum and the whole case is basically one giant heatsink . . . it's price is easily justifiable considering just how much material is used to make the case . . . But it's too expensive for anyone other than pure enthuisiasts and most of us simply don't need something quite that high end.

SO the Armor I believe would be the next best choice, at least the aluminum version, you just must make sure you do not install your hard drives in the bays below the PSU (else they will get hot air blown across them) . . . besides that though the Armor is a great case . . . and guess what, no side fans so you don't have to worry about a side fan "disrupting the air flow" . . . 😉 (see the thread about side case fans) The front intake fan is also relocatable so I wouldn't be surprised to see someone mod it so that you can actually use three front-moutned 120mm fans (you'd have to sacrifice the optical drives obviously)

Yeah I love my Tsunami Dream and all but I would upgrade to the Armor though myself since well SO MUCH ROOM lol . . .

1. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR INPUT

2. I think I will just go with the Thermaltake Shark
and slap these bad boys on max their max RPM in there. what do you guys think >?
http://svc.com/a2029.html

Some of the best 120 mm I can find, cause it only has 2 120s but those should pull enough air

The Shark is a good case, not quite as good as the Armor, but a good case. Hmm, well those are good fans but you may want to get the LED version for some better looks . . . 😀

WAIT WAIT WAIT.

NM about the shark, I just read around that the side panel are just open honey comb and thats a no no as I HATE DUST>.

The armor is once again me top choice, BUT THE WHOLE FRONT OF IT IS MADE OF MESH, can you say no suction from the back fans, how are the fans in the back of the armor going to draw the air in the case out when the whole fron tis open ??????????/

WHAT ABOUT the Xaser III its a older design BUT did they not upgrade it?? in new versions ? it has 7 FANS OMFG.

BACK to SQUARE ONE. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

this is geeting hard.

Final things I must have

A case thats cool:

How is the armor get good air flow it whole fron is open ????????????

Fan dust filter IF ABLE.

Thats it, why is this frustrating me.....................

I want a thermal take case, cause they make good cases peroid.

I jus want one that is cool not really col looking,

I like the armor SOMEONE just tell me if Iam wrong when I say how can it have good airflow with the whole fron tbeing mesh ??????????????????????????????????????

Isn't the idea to have an artificial pull of air threw the case, and a whole mesh front does not help in that does it, just like the side of the shark having an open mesh window??????

From what I've read about the Armor, it's the best ventilated case made by Thermaltake so far . . . (besides the Tai Chi) . . . I'm pretty certain it would be better than a Xaser 3, despite the points you mentioned previously . . .

With the front side mesh you can not only relocated the fan but you get maximum airflow into the case . . .

Hmmmm, I understand the more air can get to the computer but hmmm, sorry iwill go read some reviews on the armor and report back. I heard it was big, I have a full tower how much bigger can it be lol.

OK Ok, I have read review after review, the aror is a nice case, I love that it has filers on the front mesh, to help stop dust but still I think a more cosed up case can move air faster.

I STILL THINK the Xaser III with some 4,800 RPM fans will own, air will be move in and out of the cases so fast it will not have alot of time to heat up. sure the armor is new which I like, it might run with alot less noise, but I thin the Xaser III can still move more air.

Isn't move air in and out of the case fast good? the air is always fresh and does not have alot of time to heat up ????
