well their mice are pretty good, my MX510 owns

i have a set of Logitech Z-3's and the sub has gone bad, it rattles, im ringing up overclockers tomorrow to apply for an RMA

my thread on this unearthed the opinion from other people that logitech arent very good at speakers, and thats why mine have gone west after 7 months.

comparable (in price) creative's seem sooo cheap in quality though compared to the wooden and brushed aluminium of the Z-3's, they have a quality meaty feel, and the sub while it doesnt have a harsh aggressive bass note, does provide a strong mellow bass that sounds great.

you are your thoughts on logitech's audio products?

its more the fact that they don't update the drivers that annoys me. They responded. They just didn't help at all

I've never had any problems with any logitech product I've owned. Pretty good quality at very reasonable prices.

Have been using logitech Mice since 1993. My keyboard is a five year old Logitech. Never had many issues. Sure the mice would eventually fail (cheap mechanical ones) but this was usually after 2 years of heavy use. I had an optical trackball which got to be 5 and a half years old before it finally died... yup, they are pretty good.

Microsoft Hardware ain't bad either. My first optical Intellimouse survived 4 years of heavy use and abuse before it died.

IMO Logitech makes best mice at acceptable prices (maybe not the overall best mice in the world since there are some more expensive and higher quality alternatives that aren't widely sold but who cares). Their keyboards and audio products are junk, though (that's only my opinion, so don't flame me please).

I just got sopme Logitech speakers (X-530), and I think they good. I'm not picky about sound quality, so buying really expensive speakers would be a waste for me personally. I hope they last longer than 7 months though.
As for their mice, I had a regular optical mouse go bad once, but I just returned it to where bought it for an exchange. I now have the MX-510, and I love it!

I wouldn't consider Logitech top of the line or use it for internal stuff but for peripherals its great.
I have spare mice and speakers so dont need 100% fault proof units and the price on logitech stuff makes it great bang/buck.

I have a Logitech Cordless Optical Mouseman. Love it.
I have a Logitech MX700 Mouse. Love it.
My mom has a corded optical Logitech mouse. Love it.
Dad has a Logitech MX500. Love it.

I have the Logitech Z-340 speakers that I bought 3 years ago. Loved them until a couple months ago. They are out of their warranty period, but the speakers keep cutting in and out and the volume control is a little flimsy. Oh well, $2.50 + tax on $25.00 for three years isn't bad. My next speakers will probably be ones made by Logitech.

I will soon be replacing my old mouse with the Logitech MX510; which I am quite excited about. My current mouse, I just noticed, has a tag on the cord saying "WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead. Wash hands after handling." :-/

you are your thoughts on logitech's audio products?

I've had my z560's since they first came out, and are still in great shape despite consistant abuse.

As far as support, I've not used them, but I understand when they were issuing RMA's for at least some speaker sets, they would only require you to send the control pod in instead of the whole set, which saved everyone a big hassle.

Great stuff... been using Logitech Mice, trackballs and steering wheels for years... they never crap-out on you, and are high quality!

I love Logitech products (at least the input devices).

Exactly what I was gonna say, never had one of their products crap out on me. But because their stuff are made so durable Ive never had a chance to test out their customer service/tech support :)

I have:
Logitech Z-560's
Logitech MX700 Duo (cordless keyboard and mouse)
Logitech Nav Duo (cordless keyboard and mouse)
Logitech Click Plus (cordless keyboard and mouse)
Logitech cordless controller for both PC and PS2

Besides Klipsch(never had them) I will always choose Logitech in the audio department and I think they make the best keyboard/mouses out there. Also there tech/RMA support are some of the best.

I've had the Logitech Z640 speakers and the MX Duo wireless keyboard/mouse for ~1.5 years now, and they're great (speakers could stand to be better, but for a $70 5.1 system, I'm not complaining).

And as others have said, their warranty service is awesome.

Edit: Almost all my previous mice (going back almost ten years) have been Logitech as well.
