CDs are about 1400kbps

MP3s are anywhere from 128kbps to 320kbps (normally)


You can do the math! ;) It does depend on the quality of the MP3 though

There is no single "exact" figure. It depends on the mp3 bitrate.

CD audio is 1378.125 kbps. So a 128 kbps mp3 would be 1:10.8 compression ratio.
