well then, get a bunch of weights and start lifting and doing doing excersizes. i found this old weight in our shed so i do some lefting everyday before school a bit.

how about you try sports like swimming? it's fun, and it works on a lot of muscles at once.

I swear to god there are like two lap pools in all of tucson. And they are all increadibly far away.

really? that's a shame. i have a pool about 5-10 minutes from my house. i swim about 3 days a week.

that sux, feel his pain though

we're not too short on pools, but theyre all 25m. nearest 50m pool and diving fascilities are about 2 hours away. i so wanted to learn how to dive, but there was just no where to go to do it.

so i swim instead....and 50m pools are the way

also get some new mates. it takes a fair amount of will power to stick at working out on your tod. i've swum for neaarly 16 years, and while yes there are others in the lane, the actual act of swimming is very solitary....its just you, water, and your thoughts.

training with mates is a good laugh, suddenly 3 hours in the gym every night is nothing when you got some of your mates with you to push you and challenge you

very true and it's why some people don't likw swimming. i, on the other hand love it because of that. i will always swim a day before a test. i like to go over the material in my head while swimming. gives me time to organize my thoughts. but it is true that having other people with you is funner.

then again, there are mp3 players that you can swim with. i've seen people with it and it looks like it works ok.

All you need to buy is a pull-up bar, bench and some dumb bells. Probably can buy all of them used for less than $100.

Also, see a shrink for that self-esteem.

The pool at the rec center at my college (UMD) had music playing underwater in the pools :D

Why are we still discussing this. I do not engage in physical activity in sight of other people. End of story.

People are discussing it because it is ridiculous.

The vast majority of people at any gym are far more concerned about what *they* look like and what *they* are doing to ever pay much attention to anyone else.
