What's the cheapest way to ship an audio cd?

Wow, that's alot of work for a CD. I just put the CD case in a padded envelope and ship it media mail.

depends how many cds, i think first class would be cheaper or about the same if it is only 1, and first class schools media mail for delivery time.

Media mail has a minimum rate. Sometimes its cheaper to send first class depending on the weight of the item.

Depends on the weight. I sold several in the past, a cd + jewel case + my particular cardboard mailer would weigh in at 5 oz. First class was cheaper for that ($1.29). First class also whips media mail for speed of delivery. I liked shipping first class because I could just stick stamps on the thing and dump it in a mail box and be done with it.

As you go above 5 oz, media mail will be increasingly cheaper. The minimum for media mail (up to 1 lb) is $1.42. First class rate is $0.37 for the first ounce and $0.23 for each additional ounce.

I have wrapped in a paper towel, then wrapped in a letter size piece of paper, add tape, stamp, and address. good to go. I think I put two stamps on just incase. That was just for a cd, no case.

the receiver tell you that he receive a broken one
