It'd be perfect for doing a driveway. It's a 2-stroke, so that means mixed gasoline/oil, but that's not a big problem. They seem to be going for ~$200 US
I wanted something CHEAP! $200 ain't cheap! Lowes has one for $70 by weedeater; I was hoping for something even cheaper :)

It's not like I'll use it more than once every week or two for 5 minutes or so anyway so I really don't need anything with a solid build to it.

Spend a little extra and get a gaspowered whatever. Anything you have to drag a cord out and plug in to use tends not to get used... at least in my past experience.

If you insist on electric... There used to be a shopvac that had a removeable motor assembly (couple quick-disconnects) and made it an electric blower as well as a shopvac. Many let you plug the hose into the outlet port, but, you have to drag around the whole vac w/ you so it's not good for doing driveways.

Oh, and when you do find what you are *really* looking for, :camera:'s

El Cheapo ($32 @ Homedepot, under outdoor power equipment, electric, blowers)

Apply for a homedepot cc or fillout a 'I've moved form' at the post office (use a former address and point to new one) and you'll get a 10% coupon in the mail.

Corner of 42nd. and 5th, $20.

on a technical note, wouldn't it be damn near impossible for those 2 streets to intersect?

42nd street and 5th avenue... or 42nd avenue and 5th street.

or if you're in a place like calgary where the city centre is 0 ave/0 st, then you have:

42nd st and 5th ave NE, NW, SE, and SW
AND
42nd ave and 5th st NE, NW, SE, and SW

So you can have 8 places where those streets intersect.

I think, if one were in New York, a great place to live would be toidy toid and toid. ;)

Look here: LawnStation.com They have a good price on the Weedeater brand BV 200
Super Blower/Vac. It's refurbished & will get you by for a few years till you can afford a Stihl, Tanaka, Echo in the future.

I've gotten a refurbished hedge trimmer & a Poulon blower from them & they combined shipping for me.

Their refurbished products look brand new.

Buy a GT CONVERT Poulan refurb line trimmer with an edger attachment too.

Welcome to the joy of home ownership, instead of buying the newest hottest game for your console, you start thinking about crap like leaf blowers seriously:D

What do wives & vacum cleaners have in common after about a year?

They quit sucking:D

And here I was wondering if the two of you had just dissapeared and found something more amusing than ATOT.

I use a Shop-Vac Heavy-Duty with reverse attachment.

this is kinda a crappy time of the year to be buying one of those. (fall cleanup coming along and whatnot). i remember when my pops bought our last one he waited for the snow to start falling then headed over to sears and picked up a top of the line gas blower/vac for like 40% off.
