All my homies know this.

And?

You say that like it's supposed to matter or sumthin...NO ONE CARES!

Everybody knows this.

My wife would prefer me to buy her power tools over cheap crappy diamonds. (they make better weapons)

Man up and buy her NICE diamonds...spend a bit...reap the rewards.

id say check the jcpennys/ macys route also, always seem to find cheap pricing on jewelry there.
i'm another one of those lucky ones with a gold/diamond disliker 🙂

as far as cheap diamonds, there's not much luck to be had there. i used to handle jewelry for macy's and quality was horribly inconsistent on less expensive diamond jewelry.

with something like a pair of earrings, you might have to mix-and-match between sets to get stones that are similar quality. most that i saw were average, some looked like chips of elmer's glue, and a couple would actually look pretty decent but they'd be randomly paired with something not even close.

Look at a place like JC Pennys. They have some real diamond necklace pendants for $100-125. They have gold and silver ones with a total of 1/4 carat of little diamonds. Not the best quality, but they are so tiny it shouldn't matter too much.

How did you get in trouble for the cubic zirconium?
Had to return it and buy something that ended up costing more than what I originally could have gotten away with.

I enjoy reading about these diamonds, they really are a farce, aren't they?

A little apples to oranges here but, high quality emeralds cost far more than a similar grade high quality diamonds. High quality rubies are out of this world! Even nicer sapphires can cost a small fortune.
