i'm surprised only ONE mention of St Bernards appeared. yes, they are not very tall at the shoulders (tho pretty long) but they are heavy.

No, Bullmastiffs do.
My grandfather was an Akita breeder for bear hunters. That's how I know. Mean dogs to anything that tries and attacks their owner. Sweet dog to everyone else.

My old roommate got one as a puppy and his father was 250 pounds. VERY big. He, jake, is a little over a year old and is 170. he will top out 220-250 like his father

neighbor up the block has a Saint Bernard (Alpine Mastiff). it's huge. one night when they first moved in, my friend rode a bike home and called me to tell me that the huge ass dog started chasing him. hahahaha.
