It's only 70 proof. I think black label 100 proof Southern Comfort goes down just as smooth as Jagermeister.
 
OOh yeah.. SoCo is my poision too. Not too many people like it I've found. Heh Heh me on the other hand. I love Southern Comfort and it Loves me Back!!😀

Jager. Well..what can I say. My saying about it is that if you can get through the first 100 it's pretty good. 🙂 I learned to "appreciate" it while in Germany in the mid '80's and learned to drink it at 8am in the morning on Volksmarches. Ack! 😉
 
Jager is nice companion drink. you should drink it with a good beer.

I never drink it to get drunk. that's a waste of a flavorful liquor.

I like doing shots of chilled Southern at the bar on occasion.

Jagermeister is some wild stuff. It has effects like nothing else.
 
I don't really like Jagermeister. The only thing I have ever liked with Jager in it was these Jager Shakes a friend of mine used to make. I do like Southern Comfort though. SoCo and Coke, or SoCo and Dr Pepper. SoCo and Dr Pepper is great, it tastes like jawbreakers for some reason. 🙂
 
ignorant question--what's the diff between white and black label SoCo? I have some white label stuff, and to me it tastes like some sort of cherry cough syrup (not really cherry, but you know what I mean).

What's it distilled from anyway?

White label Southern Comfort is lesser proof than the black label. I believe the White Label is about 77 proof, the black label is 100 proof. The 100 proof stuff burns WAY more than the white label (straight up) but it's very tolerable.

Jaegermeister is the ish... Nothin sooths yo tummy like a shot or 2 of Jaeger. It's all about the herbs baby.. u huh u huh
