Have you considered just checking an Anandtech review for comparative numbers? Also check TomsHardware.com's VGA Charts IV, digit-life.com's recent enormous roundup, xbitlabs.com's recent roundups, and Beyond3D's GeCube X800P review.

Judging by tech specs alone, a X800P can be 25-70% faster than a 9800XT, depending on the game and the settings.

X800P: 12 pipes @ 475MHz, 256MB 256-bit DDR @ 450MHz
9800XT: 8 pipes @ 412MHz, 256MB 256-bit DDR @ 365MHz

Fillrate: +70%
Bandwidth: +25%

Not every member knows everything about video cards. It could be because in Canada, the x800 pros are actually cheaper than 9800 xts.
