If your talking about 802.11b the Cisco 350 series is the best overall card. Range throughput and feature set. For those without really deep pockets, any flavor of the Lucent silver/gold cards. (Orinoco/Agere/Avaya/now proxim)

Orinoco or any of their rebadged versions such as the Compaq WL110, Avaya Gold, and the Dell one.

ornico gold, but I'm rather parcial to the linksys equip for the price you just can't beat it unless you just have to have the highest available wep. not a big fan of the cisco stuff, loved aironet before cisco bought them, but the support has gone down the toilet.

Phone support for Cisco wireless (TAC) is not spectacular but the return process is fantastic. At least if your a re-seller. Usually a 3 day turnaround. Frankly out of the entire time Cisco had sold 802.11b stuff, since they bought out Aironet, I could count on one hand the times I had to actually call Cisco about any problems. This installing well into the low to mid triple digits of AP's and Bridges, and god knows how many client cards. Well over a thousand. Incredibly high quality gear, above and beyond the range and throughput advantage they have on the rest of the 802.11b class. But again, just out of reach for the average joe and not worth the benefits. Enterprise hardware.

I would agree that the Cisco gear is simply the best for high end users with good wallets. :)
Orinoco is rock solid and comes with a better price tag than Cisco. The thing i dont like about the orinoco's the most is the 30mw output compared to Ciscos 100mw.
