whats the best way to wake up?

This is kind of an odd topic but might get some interesting answers that may help others as well. I find getting up in the morning is rediculously hard on me, and usually impacts my awareness for the whole day since I'm tired for most of it from having gotten up early. My deep sleep is mostly after 3-4am but I have to get up in middle of it. 6-7am is what kills me the most. 8 is not as bad and is actually a big leap in difference.

Whats the best thing to wake up good in the morning, besides coffee or pop? I heard apples actually wake you up, is this true?

Heh... that's not THE best way to wake up... but it's close. 😉

Usually music has the biggest impact on my mood and level of awareness. If I really need to get going, I'll throw in some Tool or Pantera. If it's been a long night and I didn't sleep much and I'd rather just be mellow but still awake, I go for something a bit more laid-back like Metallica or even Gnarls Barkley.

Food? Heh...I generally eat what's easily available and quick-to-fix. Good luck.

Sometimes when I'm wandering around trying to wake up in the morning I put my head into the freezer. It works pretty good.

your head is like a dead hard drive 😕

Thats probably part of my problem, I'm not hungry before lunch. its rare I eat anything.

Would sugar cubes work? they're nice and small, don't take much effort to chew, and can probably be swallowed whole for maximum digestive system processing requirement. 😀

best morning wake-up call? This one time this girl I was dating woke me up. That was a good one. I also like waking up to a nice breeze and a thunderstorm. Anything but the fing beeps of an alarm clock

Yup, either it's across the room or it doesn't work when I really need it to. Actually I use my cell for an alarm clock, which is handy because I can have two alarms set, one a few minutes after the other to actually wake me up after I lay back on the bed.

The best way to wake up is however I feel like at the time. In the meantime, do you commute? Try sticking your head out the window on the highway.
