needle

just use the needle to slowly and gently scratch away at the surface and just push it out with ur finger

and make sure you put some neosporine or disinfectant

Believe me, I have more experience than anyone else in this subject. First, get a very sharp knife with a long pointy tip. Get some alcohol and douse the blade to clean it of any foriegn particles. Now, get a bright light and a chair with a table at waist level. Turn on the light and place your hand on the table. Using the knife, slowly push the tip into the skin and slice the hand off. This is also a sure way to prevent any new splinters in the hand. It's amazing...

I haven't had a splinter in either hand in years.

Go with that. I am also told that Vics Vapor Rub will get it out in a day or less. You just rub it on there and wait a day, and its gone. Problem solved. I have never tired it so I dont know if it works.

Take a hot water bath (this will soften the skin and make things easier).
Use a sewing needle (disinfected) to open a hole around the outermost end of splinter. (basically maniuplate to make easier to reach with pliers)
Using needle nose pliers or nail clippers grab the end of the splinter and pull out.

Alright, I got this splinter earlier, I'm trying your method out and WTF... I'm bleeding? This is really gross, it's like, spraying. Any suggestions?

Easiest way to get rid of the bleeding is the do the follow... grab a roll of paper towels. Must be Brawny as they soak up what their competitors leave behind in case you didn't know. Then take a single sheet and place it on the stump. One sheet should be enough, afterall you can clean a whole kitchen with one, right?

use a safety pin to peel away the outer skin layer. make sure you sterilize it with rubbing alcohol or boiling water first.

Lava soap (That green bar stuff) and sugaer also works. But some of the soap on a bandaid, sprinkle sugar on it. Pu tit on the splinter, and the next day its gone. I have NO idea how or why this works though, but it sure does.

I THINK its suger, its been years since I've done that....

1) Metal splinters or (2) wood splinters?

1) Big magnet :D

2) Go get tweezers . . . 7-11s have them they are cheap and the right tool for the job. :p

If you are too lazy, use a flame-sterilized needle to dig it out . . . a little topical benzocaine will take care of the pain of you are squeemish.

I don't have any brawny. :( I've had to use a couple more than one, but these paper towels seem to be working. Thanks for all the help, I'm now happily splinter free!

If you're too scare to use a needle or knife, break out the 'ld nail cliper, just slowly clip away at your skin. Now don't go clipping away at your skin when the splinter is a good inch deep, you hear?

Where is the most suitable place to leave hands when not in use?
