Whats the best way to open a pomegranate?

Tear the outer skin. The insides should pull apart in sections. Then you can separate the berries from the sections or leave them all connected.


It's a really pretty fruit when it's taken apart, but MAN do they stain. They're juicy and squirt all over the place. If you get some on your shirt, you might as well throw it away :) Love the taste, hate the seeds though.

Cut it in half, then to 4 sections each. You can just grap the corners and push the back in and it'll open up for better access. This is how they do it in south asia.

Yup that's how I do it...

The better question is... Do you eat as you pick? or Pick a whole bunch, then eat?

In half which way? Cutting through that little thing that comes out the top or around the middle?

EDIT: oh, and which corners?!! These things are round! :confused:

In half, as in the middle of a the little crown thing and the tail end. Then you cut the 2 halves in to 4 pieves, each piece will have a corner.
