but while they're there, is there anything else we can do?

Back! Back to P&N!
Don't feed the troll - they only get bigger.

I'm not trolling (at least I don't think so.). I seldom set foot in P&N and usually it's just to read BS when I'm bored.

It's just that I'd rather see them be able to come home. Political views aside, we got a lot of good men and women over there that just need to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Like most people in this country, I have a couple friends over there. I always ask if they need anything but they always tell me that they're pretty well taken care of.

I specific regards to the post: It always seemed to me that the FAMILIES of the soldiers have the best ideas and the best ways of communication on what is needed. If you know anyone who's loved ones are overseas, try getting in touch with them, or contact your local newspaper/news outlet to see if any families have asked for help or anything.

Volunteer at your local VA hospital. Or volunteer at your airport's USO office.

Otherwise, donations never hurt to charities run by the different branches of the military.

I once volunteered at a VA hospital during Christmas one year, and it was one of the most rewarding things I've done.
