What's the best way to delete photos after moving off iPhone?

Typically, I plug the wife's iPhone into my PC... I copy all the photos off into folders by the month the picture was taken...

but what's the best way to now delete those photos off the iPhone?

thanks,
Robert.

Wipe the whole phone.

I usually allow whatever imports the photos to delete them.

Also, most people don't realize you can do this on iPhone.

When you enable the mode where you select pictures, swipe across a whole row to select the row. Without lifting your finger, move up or down. The screen will scroll and select each row until you let go. Then you can delete your selection.

If you're using Windows Explorer to Copy them off, why not just Cut instead?

IIRC, the photos/videos are put in a folder named something like 100APPLE. When you have more than 1000 photos, it creates another one. You can't delete these folders if they have anything in them, so just open them and delete the photos. Ctrl+A to select all.
