I love fish and want to start eating more of it, but whats the best way to make it so that it doesnt make my whole place reek? I have an open kitchen that leads right into the dining room and living room and I dont want my whole place to smell like fish.

Suggestions?

I'm looking at cooking Cod or Salmon.

Edit: I usually cook frozen fish fillets.

on the gril.

people, if the fish stinks, ITS NO GOOD!

i manage a seafood restaurant and we deal with fresh fish daily. cleaned and skinned by us on the premises. if that filet stinks, or has a fishy taste, its bad. not necessarily rotten, but youre eating crap fish.

whole, unprepped/washed fish stink, but thats the slime, not the actual filet.

edit: even frozen filets wont stink if prepped and frozen freshly and properly.
