what's the best way to clean a cloth couch?

my brother has been sleeping on it for the past couple months and now I'm moving. gotta get rid of the BO lol. the covers on the pads are non-removeable, so I'll have to clean it by hand on the outside. should I just soak them in Lysol or something? I'm vacuuming them off right now (dog hair and junk on some of em).

Steam clean sounds like the best option - No febreeze or any kind of fragranced "cover-uppers" - it's not going to actually clean the fabric, just cover the BO.

haha. that's the sole reason I'm bothering to clean it this early. the lady at PE said they should be here Wednesday. I still have two weeks before I leave

oh yeah, I'm going to make the subwoofer cable myself. white RG-6/u quad shield 75-ohm with compression RCA connectors

Use a steam vac, or a wet shop vac.
Use oil base cleaner for the bad spots that can't be break down with waterbase cleaner (quickly apply water & vac it up before it discolour or breakdown the fabric).
Use mild detergent & hot water for general cleaning.

Get a clean white or light colour towel & soak it in the cleaning solution and rub down the fabric (may require brush scrubbing) then vac the excess liquid (may require more than one towels). Repeat process with just clean hot water.

giant eagle offers wet vacs for rent, but make sure you request the upholstery accessory or else they won't give you that wand, the system they use is pretty neat it has this vaccume with tubes all over that squirts and sucks up cleaning solution
