Whats the best Video card I could get without upgrading my psu?

Here are my specs:

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual

core processor 4000+

2.11GHz, 1.50GB of ram

Sparkle/Fortron is a decent brand. With dual 18A on 12V you should be enough for even a 4870. Although at your cpu speed, there will be some bottlenecking in games.

Maybe a 4850. 4870 is kind of pushing it. ATI recommends 500watts for a 4870 and 450watt for a 4850.

yea def 4850. u wont get near the tot pot of a 4870 with that cpu. get a 4850. that way u can xfire later simply upgrade when u get an intel CPU 😛

But really you spend $80 on a good power supply with 2x6pin PCIE for a 4870.

I do agree that a 4850 should be ok as long as you don't have too many hard drives and such.
