What's the best thing to buy in bulk, then sell one at a time on Ebay?

 
Hmm.. It would just depend on what you could get your hands on, I guess.

ebay is really quite amazing. I mean.. you can search for just about freakin anything anybody could ever want, and you'll find somethin.. lol.. It's pretty cool.

I got this box of old socket 5 and 7 motherboards from this computer place that was going out of business a few months ago... I've thought about putting them on there one at a time, rofl... I got 33 boards, 29 of them at least POST and count memory.. lol..

I would feel like I was ripping people off, though.. lol..
 
Okay.. I'm going to search for cheese on ebay..

If I find someone selling some "vintage sharp cheddar".... I dunno.... lol

the reason for this is that actual sales colloquial (area dependent) while e-commerce, you can buy from anywhere as long as the vender/seller ship internationally...

i buy stuff off ebay because those stuff are from HK.........
 
I use ebay to collect antique small engines and related things.. lol.. Compared to searching the local garage and estate sales, it's quite the resource. 😉

I know a guy who got sh!tload of National Geographics from an unnamed source for less than a dollar, turn around and sell it for $4. This guy makes $2,000+ a month on eBay and that is his primary job.
 
wow, $2,000? For the whole year? I can't imagine what he could buy with that... and his lifestyle? Man, i could only dream....
I think anything that is wholesale is right. I think most of the people out there buy stuff retail... so when they come across something that is less than that they go for it, often buying higher then retail...
 
eBay is pretty good for anything. On eBay, I usually buy and sell collectables, video games, stuff like that. But I see you wanna make a nice little profit out of it. Anything you happen to get wholesale really really cheap, it will probably sell on eBay.

For some odd reason, old video games sell on ebay like no other! A stupid nes game you can get at a flee-market for like $5 sells for $50 on ebay, ridiculous!
 
Only some old NES games, you have to know which ones are collectables. Same with PSX games. It's really a niche market, tough to play but when you're in you score big. Most of my months I make next to nil but there's been a couple where I've pulled in $1000+. The trick is to not stick with one market. Diversify, sell anything and everything. I've gone from video games to PC hardware to portable electronics to DVDs to car audio. Anything that's not too heavy to ship will stand a decent chance of selling. Also the best way to guage a fair price is to check completed auctions. Also try to fit as much info into your title as you can. Hope that helps.

You have to realize that eBay is an international market now adays. What might be useless video game in Europe might be worth $100 here as a collector's item and vice versa. Another example is,

some countries have regulation on production and distribution of pornography but no regulation on foreign purchases or posession. An example of regulation is that anything osld in that country requires genitalia to have mosaics. People wants the full exposure version so, they go on eBay and import it from foreign sellers.

Back in the days, importation was only feasible for firms in huge quantities, but with eBay it's like shipping an item between friends that lives in foreign country.

Tell that to any vendor that sells memory. A stick of memory costs $10 to $15 for shipping and handling.

Cheapest price on price watch+their extremely high shipping can often equal local purchase price.

People know shipping from the beginning so they don't bid as high (Okay, that's not true because people on ebay are stupid...)

Anyhow, I think the biggest reason people charge lots of shipping is to get around fees
