What's the best RAID for this buncha hard drives I got?

well, i have two 160's and two 80's, SATA. and i would like security as well as as much performance boot as i can get. suggestions appreciated.

Do you have a specific requirement for RAID? Honestly, I would just run them singly as volumes by themselves. With four drives of two different sizes, you could do RAID 5 of 4 80gb drives, but you would also have to buy a RAID controller for it to get any decent performance. RAID 5 on a mobo will result in a performance hit. Or you could do a seperate RAID 1 and RAID 0 array, but I wouldn't do it if you dont' need to.

I completely agree. What exactly do you even use your PC for? Many people want to just jump right into using RAID when it won't really benefit them at all.
