What's the best program to create menus (that I can print out)?

I have been given an assignment to create a menu for a cafeteria. What's the best program to do this in? I was thinking on using Acrobat or MS Office. I seem to have a hard time using Office since I can't create boxes or circles easily. Any ideas?

Well, you can't really create documents with Acrobat, so that one's out. But MS Word will do the job just fine. And yes, you can make boxes and circles, just use either the drawing or form tools. Just check the help files, they should walk you through the process.

You need desktop publishing software of some sort. If you have Office you may also have Publisher, it will probably work better for you than Word.

Yeah, Publisher would probably work better, if you have it. If not, I've done the same sort of thing in Word, so I know it can be done. :)

best program for DTP?
i'd say is Adobe InDesign.

best program for graphic editing (raster)?
Adobe Photoshop.

best program for graphic editing (vector)?
Adobe Illustrator.

if you have all three... you got yourself a pretty decent machine.

but of course... it might be an overkill for your purposes.
especially if you consider the cost of each app.
