Pop up ads or ads actually on the page?

galeon (a browser, and a good one at that ) can block images from any address. so i can right click an ad, block images from that location, and no more ads from that company.

I have a great program that blocks pop up ads.

Its called POW fom Analog X

I use that one as well... Works great!

You cand edit the Hosts file to redirect ad servers to localhost. It won't stop the popup, but it kills a lot of ads. See instructions at the Supertricks section of KaZaLite.

I'm surprised that noone has mentioned Proximitron yet. I use it, and am very happy with it. It takes care of regular ads of all kinds, popups, pop-unders, and just about every other kind of ad imaginable.
Edit: BTW, AdAware is good for removing those DoubleClick cookies (among other things) that may still be on your computer even after you install Proximitron or another ad filtering program.
