Okay, I usually have google tool bar up anyway, but if you want an actual prog specifically for it...

From the sticky above:
From Phunktion - Pop Up Stopper
From eplebnista - Pop Up Killer

You can search for others posts.

Mozilla and Firebird. Internet Explorer is so far behind the times that it's getting kind of ridiculous.

Panicware was good, but the best I have seen yet is Google Toolbar, This has blocked all popups for me so far yet allowed my PM windows here to pop up. I always had to CTRL click using pop-up stopper.

Firebird is smaller. I don't like the separate search box though - Moz's search from address bar is much more convenient IMHO.

The great thing about moz/firebird is that if you find a problem, you can go complain to the actual developers, whereas with IE, if you have a problem, you can send an email to /dev/null (a black hole... stuff goes in, but nothing ever comes out or happens)

Firebird. If you need to use IE then MyIE does a good job blocking popups.

I'd have to say that Mozilla's is the best. It doesn't stop pop-ups that are needed and blocks everything else almost perfectly.

You can get rid of the search box by right-clicking on the toolbar and selecting "customize", then dragging the search bar into the box that appears. You can also move around all the icons this way if you wish, and toggle between large, small, and no icons at all (only text).

Can you then search from the address bar? (type in whatever you want, press up, then enter)

a quick question about the Google Toolbar...if i uncheck (hide) it so that it is not visible while using IE, will it still block popups, or must the toolbar remain visible?
