I have been thinking among the Fuji F20, F40fd, and F50fd. The F20 is the cheapest, and it's been known to have one of the best low-light shooting. How does it compare with the F40fd (8.3MP) and F50fd (12MP)?

I have a Panasonic DMC-FX3. It's a pretty good camera and has held up really well considering the torture I've put it through. It doesn't have a viewfinder though which is a little annoying when it's really bright outside and I can't see the screen. I've also used the Canon PowerShot SX100 which is, IMO, one of the best P&S cameras on the market.

I just bought the Fuji F20. It should arrive within this week or early next week. I hope it lives up to its name for the best P&S low-light shooting.

heh, we have some very different perspectives of pocketable
Or just different pocket sizes? The TZ3 might fit in a large coat pocket, but certainly not in any of my shirt or pants pockets.. :p

i travelled Austria, Slovakia, Hungery, and Poland for weeks with a TZ3 in my (rather tight) jeans pocket.

it's not a camera for someone who is unaware of the interactions of ISO, shutter speed, and aperature, though. it's easy to take bad pics with the TZ3, but if you know your way around cameras, you can take some great pics.

Same here. Hiked for two weeks in the Sierra's with the TZ3 in my pocket with no issues. Excellent pics!!!

Wow - so many Fuji fans here!

Can't go wrong with the Fuji F31fd. Really good in lowlight & image quality superior to the newer Fuji models in most situations. The battery lasts forever too. Only downside is the xD cards it uses.

and it's a couple of generations old isn't it? Making it hard to find in retail.

Which drives up the price since it's a well respected camera, and sought after.
