Another vote for the G5 here. You'll need USB Overdrive if you want all the buttons to work in OSX, though. It's free but a little advertisement that asks you to buy it pops up every time you start up your machine. It's not that big of a deal, though.

I still use the same old tried and true MS IntelliMouse.

I simply can't get my hand to comfortably fit the curved Logitech mice. =( That and without the left and right buttons that over the years I've simply become addicted to for back-forward and for additional mouse buttons for games, I'd just be lost with the new mice.

QFT...there is no 'best' mouse. It depends on what you are using it for.

The lachesis is only good for lefties that other ergonomic mice leave out in the cold.

I still like my Logitech Dual Optical.

I have an MX Revolution on my main desktop... it's OK. I use a VX Revolution with my laptop - I like it better than the MX Rev. I hated the MX 1000 when I had it. The MX 600 (or was it a MX 700?) that I had before the MX 1000, I still miss... I think it was the best mouse ever.

had a bad experience with wireless a couple years ago and haven't gone back, at least not on my primary machine... I'll use wireless on my laptop so I don't get tangled up in cables.

I like the VX Revolution on my laptop, but it would be better if it was bluetooth (has that nib you have to plug into a USB port).

I didn't like the way the VX was working with my desktop so didn't get another. Right now I'm using the cordless mouse that came with the MS mouse/keyboard 4000 combo I got on sale. It's not their top of the line but it's OK. I'm not using the keyboard because I don't think it will work with my KVM system (have second desktop for occasional use). However, I keep batteries in the keyboard in case I want to use it from the easy chair (main PC doubles as HTPC).

I use a G7, seems "faster". The MX revolution seems kinda bulky, my desk isn't big enough for that.

When my MX1000 died, Logitech gave me a free Revolution. It was great. I like the revolution.

No joke. I bought one from a friend just incase mine dies. Logitech seems committed to coming out with something good, selling it for six months, then replacing it with something worse.

I even wrote them about these two products. I didn't get a reply.
