MX700 here...I'll only replace it when I'm confronted with an incredible MX Duo hot deal. with another MX700, of course ;)

wired intellimouse explorer here
when it goes bad, i'll get another free one from microsoft

i'm too frantic in FPS to go wireless, plus i can't stand the extra weight

No, but they don't need to be. The MX optical sensors are so good I can't make my mouse skip even if trying to. I have an incredible amount of twitch in my game too, and it keeps up without a problem.

Just got the MX 700 and cordless Elite Keyboard (Mx Duo) amazing piece of kit! I wish I had bought them much earlier. I too was skeptical about lag, rechargable batteries etc etc. Looks like I was totally wrong in my assumptions. The best thing about the mouse is the rapid charger which is really rapid, I ran out of energy in the batteries and by just putting it into the cradle for few minutes I was able to complete the job at hand. I read somewhere that just one minute charge will last about ten minutes, if that is you run out of power. Overnight charge works for hours in a day which is what I need.

I've got an MX500 and I like it a lot. Unfortunately, the way my computer desk is, the wire always falls to one side of my tower and I have to pull the mouse harder because the wire doesn't have slack, so I'm thinking about getting an MX700 also.

MX500 or MX700. Different ergonomically, but they have the same optical sensor.

mx series all the way. 800 dpi and great response:) use mouseskates from cshyde.com and ur set:)

oh best not touse the "disable acceleration in games" setting in the drivers thats more trouble then good. it triggers in windows and sh*t. i just don't use acceleration at all, one doesnt need it with this mouse, just crank the speed, its great:)

Make sure all you guys who use Logitech update their Mouseware to 9.79 which is the latest version. Similarly iTouch is also updated to 2.22 version. I was having silght problems with older version and after having updated it all is now OK.

Nope, don't install Mouseware, it is the biggest pile of poop ever. Logitech make awesome hardware, but absolutely terrible drivers/software.
