I always thought full-time investing or gambling would be good, but you need initial capital. Any other suggestions? I think this might apply to ATOT more than the other thread =D

I'd say help desk :D

I'd say you are right. There have been weeks where I've done maybe 10 minutes of honest work.

But that's because I run a really tight ship, and have everything running smoothly.

I've always thought about this. I don't think there's a better job than being a consultant, especially if you have a PhD.
You basically just go into a company, you ask a bunch of questions, and tell them a solution for their issues, or how to improve their company. You could easily make a quarter million+ a year.

Getting PhD requires a lot of unlazy effort.

IT, obviously.

You sit in your office and browse ATOT all day, and every so often you do some real work. Since no one really knows what you do, you can get away with it.

Yeah for undergrad. But it shouldn't even be too hard with a non-science major.
It's not too hard to get a PhD if you're really smart. You just pretty much have to write a really good paper and you're set.

edit: (i think the previous thing was more of an attack...)

to get a PhD (at least at a decent institution) you have to be smart to even get admitted into the program. and you don't go read a 100 page book and write a book report for your thesis. people put years of research and time into their theses. you don't just go and write some random paper and get a PhD for having good grammar.

not lazy? rofl not any of the ones ummm my neighbor knows

It's not a occupation where laziness pays. I'm sorry your experience with your neighbors drug dealers has been less than ideal. :rollseyes;

For the original question: There's many answers..pick the one that meets your level of apathy. IT helpdesk isn't a bad one...unless you're also the field tech, but it's nice to get out of the office...even if it involves walking.

Sales. Period.

Doesn't matter what you're selling... If you're smart and can deal with people, sales will be your best bet.

Well obviously. My point was that it takes smart work, rather than dull, mindless, routine work a lazy smart person would absolutely despise. There's nothing more fun than research for someone that's really smart. You go out and indulge yourself in something that piques your interest. How could life get any better than that for a genius?

cult leader.

give a speech once a week about how the world is going to end, how to prepare for it (hint: guns) and how god speaks through you. the rest of the week members can do all the work around your compound, which they paid for, while you have sex with their children.

True, but it does correspond to the fact that he's lazy. We can't determine if he is smart just yet, not enough data available at this time.
