Whats' the best credit card to get?

So I got rid of them all a while back - and haven't really missed them - but since I will start traveling with my new camper in the spring I kinda should have one in case of an expensive emergency, etc. And just to have to keep my credit score up. My credit is in the good/excellent range (don't know my score). No flames please, I know credit cards are evil. I just need some opinions thanks.
 
For universality/emergency I would suggest a Visa or MasterCard based card just because its taken places where Amex/Discover aren't - check with your current bank as they may offer a card at a batter rate or offer than what you can find elsewhere
