What's the best computer chair?

Like probably most of you guys here, I spend up to 6-7hrs a day in front of the computer. It's both my work and a major form of recreation. I know, bad boy! bad boy!

But anyhow, this is really bad for my back and skinny ass. So, what's the best chair you've found for computer work? Links and pictures appreciated.

For that matter, where do you find good PC furniture.

Herman Miller Equa2, Reaction or Aeron depending on how much you want to spend. Look around in your area for used office furniture places. And most importantly, don't piss away your money on $40 Leather Executive chairs from Staples/Office Max/Office Depot.

Herman Miller Aeron, your back and ass will thank you later. Retail is about 1k but you should be able to find it for 60-70% of that price.

heh, i have one of those $40 office depot chairs, had it for over a year and its still great. very comfortable, cheap, and so far, its still in pretty good shape

I've got a sweet chair from Paoli Furniture (my aunt is an accountant there, they make the furniture for The OC). I've had it for forever and its in pretty bad shape but it's still REALLY comfortable.

Another vote for the Aeron

I used to have one of these where I worked before. Clearly, it isn't the best chair when it comes to performance. It's a good looking chair and a pricey chair, but that's about all. The mesh fabric will wear through your pants where your wallet is placed - unless you remove your wallet each time you use the chair.

I use this 8 year old office chair which is being held together with duct tape, an ACE bandage, and has some old clothing piled on top of it to prevent duct tape from sticking to me.

What do you mean it isn't the best chair when it comes to performance??? It's no LazyBoy or a massaging chair. But it's perfect for ergonomics purposes. It provides great back support and ensures you maintain correct posture while sitting.

But I do agree with the mesh wearing down your pants. Every few months, I need to take a cloth to the bottom of the chair because of the cotton fiber build up that gets worn off from your clothes.
