Whats the best compression program (like that does most things, zip, rar, ace..)

Winrar is best for versatility and speed but Winace will do the best compression.

WinRar for sure. I've tried WinZip, WinAce and some of the free ones, but WinRar is still the best (most professional) one.

I use Windows Commander's compression utility, where you can pack a file in almost any format you want to.

Huh? I can 'unace' .ace files just fine with WinRar.
