What's the best, cheapest 15.4" laptop? (lightest?)

My cousin is hell-bent on getting a 15.4" laptop. I tried convincing him otherwise of getting something smaller (13.3", 14.1" maybe?) but he insists. So now I'm torn with so many deals of the same 15.4" size from Dell, Lenovo, HP, Toshiba, etc... that it's hard to pick. Any recs? Thanks in advance!

Lenovo is always a solid pick, and if you know how to hunt for them, you can apparently get a really great price with some coupons.

Depending on their budget, I would recommend them getting an LED backlit display. Lasts longer, doesn't get dimmer with age, weighs less, uses less battery power, and is better color reproduction.
