lol, What's that supposed to mean? ;)

That's true. I LOVE Portillo's. They have great burgers, dogs, and pretty much anything else. It's all very fresh-tasting and good. I also enjoy Hackney's :p

Oh, I'm in Bloomington-Normal doing the ol' school thing. I'm originally from there, though.

In N Out comes in number one in my book
next is Island's
then Red Robin
followed by believe it or not Cracker Barrel has a delicious bacon cheese burger
Carl Jr's had a pretty good "Big burger" for a dollar when I was out in Phoenix as well(did not sell at all of the chain's though)

We dont have a single one of those in TX

They are overpriced like a mofo....

That's what doubles and triples are for !! Nobody uses better quality meat than Steak and Shake and they cook them the way good old fashioned drive-ins all used to cook them, which is perfection to me.

Uh...I just checked out Hardee's since alot of people here like them. I found the their website through google. Is it me or is Hardee's the same as Carl's Jr. in Cali? The logo's all look the same except for the name. The thick burger looks like the "Six Dollar Burger" from Carl's Jr.

Cheeburger owns. Their shakes are the best I've ever had! (And it's not six dollars ;))

And yeah: Hardee's = Carl's Jr.

in-n-out. in fact, i stopped there on my way home from vegas today and enjoyed a double-double animal style combo. if anyone has never eaten an in-n-out burger and has the opportunity to ever get one, i would highly recommend it. it is kind of unfortunate when people say they dont have one in their state, while i sit here and realize i have 4 of them within a 15 mile radius. not bragging, just pointing out the fact that they have delicious burgers and i wish everyone had the means to try one also.

Nation's, but I dunno if they're in more states than just CA

Do you have any idea how sucky it is to come across threads like this when you're on a diet?!?

There's a truck stop in Montana that has really good burgers, although it's not exactly fast food. I like In-out, but wish that their patties were a bit bigger and jucier. I like how In-out keeps the lettuce cold in the burger; gives it some additional crispness.

But, of course, nothing can beat homemade patties on the charcoal....
