Been trying to dig up info. One must have feature is highlighting books or PDFs along with notes. And then the ability to take the highlighted/noted document to another computer.

Are the Kindle, Nook and the one from sony the only choices and does anybody know if this feature is supported?

thanks in advance

I've been looking into this too, for a present for my mom. For me, the only 2 choices are the Kindle & the Nook. The sony reader needs to use a pc to get it's books, because it has no wireless connection. I have the Kindle app on my iPhone, and the convenience to be able find something to read on the go, really can't be beat.

Between the Nook & the Kindle, I chose the Kindle. The Nook can't read to you, but the Kindle can. Best sellers are priced about the same, but Amazon appears to be cheaper than Barnes & Noble, with everything else. You can share books with the Nook. The Kindle doesn't allow that yet. That wasn't a big deal to me, because if you allow someone to use it, you can't until they are done.

I know the Kindle will do what you want with books, but I'm not sure about PDFs.
