Question: CUSL2=Socket370=FC-PGA? right?

i got a FC-PGA P3-700e with a PEP66 (with Fan) and i am using it in a slot 1 mobo (with a slotkit). but it wont fit :( the PEPs fan sticks too high to allow teh power supply to fit. :(

i was hoping buying the CUSL2 would solve the problem.

I had one, loved it using crucial memory, not generic crap and I just order another one yesterday..

It isn't - they are both nice boards. All I can say it that with minimal hassle I continue to tweak this MSI into a sweeter place. A lot of my benches with the the PIII-700@933 push the 1 giggers out there!

e-mail me some time.....

What about the Intel D815EEA or the Gigabyte GA-6OXM7E?

Has any one used these?

Maca: They are both good boards. Personnaly, I would take the Intel board. I've built tons of systems with em and encoutnered no problems what so ever

MSI 815.
One thing I hear is a little easier is the BIOS clear jumper on the MSI.
CUSL2 you have to pull the battery.
Correct me if im wrong.

SammySon: you can clear the BIOS by shorting the CLRTC jumper points. You don't need to pull the battery.

Intel D815EEA is currently on quanhold. You still can use the PeP66 with any of the said boards(Asus,Intel,MSI).I use a glue gun to secure the original fan on top and another fan on the side.....i think i saw it from HardOCP.....works wonders......louder cause by 2 fans.....temp drop another 4deg Cel.Currently runnin a 6337.

The Intel D815EEA is a really stable board, I've used it and loved it, but you can't overclock it....which is why I got the Asus CUV4X (VIA chipset). Intel boards rock though.

Wish I had seen your thread earlier. I had a Cusl2 before my MSI 815e Pro but sold it off because of the problems it gave me. The Msi's a much easier board to work with for beginners like me. Anyway, I'm sure the guys on this forum can help you out with your problems.
