Well I'd have to say, it would be when I bought the game FarCry on eBay a month ago. I got the US Full retail version for about $18.50 (well, its pretty close to $20). I finished the game on Thursday after about 40 hours of play.

So far, best $20 I have ever spent. (Well maybe right up their to my Tetanus Shot I got last year.)
 
I paid $19.45 for shipping on one of the subs I ordered ($40 for both) and I thought that was a good investment 😛

$10 - The Mayan Factor CD from cdbaby.com; awesome band imho. They have 2min samples from each track on the website.
 
Far Cry's definitely up there, though I paid $33. Best $20 based on enjoyment time would have to be any three paperbacks (average $6-7, which is about 3 for $20).. let's say King's The Stand, It, and The Eyes of the Dragon.
 
ordering the book A Game of Thrones by Martin off of amazon. not quite $20 but some of the best money ive spent recently.

when I went clubbin for the first time. Man I had such a blast, even though it did cost $20 (18+ club, 21 and older get in free, I had just turned 18)

Probably getting through Time Crisis II, Time Crisis III, and House of the Dead II consecutively with my best friend last summer at the arcade.
