These are $80 at newegg. You can paint them black and you'll get what ya want. ;)

I'm not sure if you're going to have a lot of luck finding black speakers in only a 2-speaker format. Most of today's speakers are coming along with a sub so you might as well go with it. The Z560s are what I'm going to get when I get money... I believe they are black.

i have black Bose Roommate II speakers - great sound, they have a black wire mesh screen that protects the cones from injury, mounted to my computer workstation table - ideal set up in my opinion you can find these on Eb@y, or their current rendition is
Bose 151 speakers

I have these as my computer speakers (and they're black). The setup should be just about as good as it gets in the multimedia speaker category.
The availability of VideoLogic speakers might be a little slim on your side of the Atlantic though.

I agree with gunbuster, Check out my discontinued JBL S38 (with bose port technology the S38ii lacks)

$245 on ebay, these babies compare to their LSR studio recording monitors. They are on top of black bookshelf custom speaker stands.

Soon I'll have a 15" tempest subwoofer in a 214L frustum pyramid enclosure. My 6.1 home theater PC will almost be complete. :)

Oh, if money was no object, then why go for the harsh and bright sounding Klipsch synergy or reference line? Buy a speaker that doesn't use magnet driven cones, but uses electrostatics. Audition the incredible sounding Martin Logan Statement E2. They may be a bit big and heavy (1800lbs), but the sound will be rewarding. The price tag is also fairly generous at $80,000 compared to other more high end custom brands.
