Car, Music Equipment, A/V Equipment

The cost benefit analysis of women always returns me some slightly less-than-worthwhile numbers.

3rd is a car.

4th though. I guess it is my 65" TV. (higher end 4K with 3d that I bought for the actual monitor in it which is awesome. I could care less about 3d).

My home stereo for movies with TV is probably close to $5K based on purchase prices (not current value). And I want to replace my receiver really badly. Denon 6200 is my dream. Might wait till I can get one used for half price.

Interesting question - after some thought, it seems there should be at least a handful of obvious candidates, but there's only household goods and some power tools to choose from. I guess it would be her laptop.

After house and cars I would say it's the projector screen. It's a 100" Dnp supernova core 2 which has a msrp of about $3k. The Epson projector would be next.

Years ago, my buddy compiled data on the average cost of dating from himself & our friends. Average cost of active dating was like $350 a month at the time. It was pretty funny to see cross-referenced numbers & statistics plotted out. What can I say, we're nerds :D

Hmm. Still renting because I like to move every year to try out new places (don't own a lot of stuff anymore since digitizing my papers/books/photos/music/movies & going to an iPhone/Chromebook/Roku setup), so no house (yet).

1. Her car
2. My lemon my car
3. VR setup

So #3 would have to be my VR setup. Gaming PC + $800 Vive HMD + expensive VR games + misc. accessories (VR exercise bike, subwoofer backpack, etc.). Still adding to it because eventually I'd like to add a seated HOTAS/wheel setup for various racing/flying/space games. Virtual reality gear has been a huge budget sink this year, haha. Totally worth it though because I have a blast using it & it's segwayed into a useful cardio exercise setup.

Come to think of it, I don't own a lot of expensive stuff. Interesting. I have a projector, but that was less than the Vive. Still rocking my T2i dSLR from years ago. A bunch of various kitchen appliances. I think that's about it. If I got robbed, someone would have fun watching movies & cooking well, hahaha.

I think that would be my suppressor (I've yet to receive). Do want

Just the cost itself of the item, it may not make third place but with the tax stamp and whatnot the final bill was more.

1 car worth $5k
2 snowboard gear worth $1k
3 art $300 or so I guess

I own lots of stuff its just none of it has value to anyone but me. Wish I had a house and big bank account and all this but oh well, need a high paying job for that.

3rd is dumb because most families have a house and at least 2 cars.
I'll have to go deeper to get interesting.
house
house
car
car
engagement ring
lawn mower

I'd have to nominate this response as the most interesting by far. That must be some lawn mower.

My buddy's neighbor has a robotic lawnmower. Little green thing like a Roomba that goes back & charges up in a hutch. Pretty awesome, but it's like $2 or $3k.

If I ever get a place with a reasonably flat lawn, I'd love to put in that curbing with the mower's edge around the house, outside perimeter, and trees (lock it all down for using with a robo-mower) & then install a fertigation system (liquid fertilizer, dispersed on a timer) along with the irrigation lines. There's an amazing amount of great technology out for residential landscaping now, like the Spruce smart irrigation system...it combines in-ground sensors that measure moisture & temperture with a cloud-connected controller that checks the weather for upcoming rain & whatnot:

If you have the bucks, you can basically automate your lawncare, outside of picking up pinecones/branches & using a motorized edger for the lawn-facing curbside once in awhile.

Eh, in many rural areas it's not uncommon to have 2-5 acres of ground. A good ZTR is going to be 5k-10k. Or a high quality garden tractor is going to be along those lines and run you another couple grand for a snow blower attachment or any ground engaging tools.

I'm still debating between my home theater or my wife's handbags, I think it's a push.

Just in case you're compiling a list of who to rob, I'm planning on investing more heavily on firearm and bear traps as well.
