What's that IE trick to load web pages faster? (some registry edit)

Can't find the thread that was here a week or two ago. Something about editing your registry so that IE would make more than 2 connections to a website in order to download it faster. TIA.

Will this work in XP? I tried manually editing the registry and I coudln't find any maxconnections entries for ie or internet, just for telnet.

yes it works in XP.

Yeah, i made this change a long time ago... and it was a HUGE difference for me... but it only affects you if you're on broadband. If you're still on dialup, don't expect to see a difference.

Download this file which is in the thread in amnesiac's sig. Unzip and read the readme file.

EDIT: I tried the hack and it doesn't seem any faster than Mozilla.
