I've never really cared for Tsingtao. If I'm going to get an asian beer, I'll get Asahi Super Dry. I like Strong Seven too, but I haven't been able to find it in the US. Korean beer is nearly undrinkable without mixing it with soju.
 
Beer should be good and cheap. All of the Saranac beers from the Adirondacks fit the bill. Too bad, they are not sold in Cali. You can get them in 26 other states though.

Yeungling is dirt cheap in PA and tasty to boot, though I prefer the Lord Chesterfield they brew. Some of my friends say Yeungling is also a beer that offers a hangover after only a few. YMMV.

I used to live near Shangy's in Pennsylvania, anyone in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast should know of that place.. now THAT is a selection. I will say, though, that aside from Shangy's, Total Wine is pretty bitchin'. That's where I shop now and I enjoy the selection. Although I've never seen a gueuze stocked at the shop near me.
 
I've been hitting Shiner Bock's collection recently, I just tried their 101 Anniversary brew and their Bohemian Black lager, both excellent.

I'm in MD, haven't heard of that place. Total Wine's selection is enough to make me stare in disbelief, so I can only imagine what Shangy's would do to me.

I've seriously spent 30 minutes staring at beer bottles trying to put together the ultimate 6-pack, haha.
 
Yuengling is my favorite macrobrew. As far as microbrews go, I like almost everything from Brooklyn Brewery.
 
my costco's pack full of yeungling's i have yet to try them but the best i've tried is sapporo reserve.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's not remarkable beer, it's just decent beer that's cheap. Hopefully you'll come East at some point so you can have some and realize that you're not missing out on some wild orgasmic beer experience.
 
Ehh ... I'm a fan of pretty much anything Ale.

Lagers are kinda watery tasting IMO, especially light lagers ... ugh....

Recently, I've been sorta hooked on Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA, Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA, and Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. But my normal "flavor of the month" tends to be belgian quads, triples, and strong ales....

If you think the Sunset Wheat is fruity, you should steer clear of the Berry Weiss. That stuff belongs next to the Mike's Hard at the liquor store and not next to the beer (where they usually put it).

Without knowing what kind of sub-types of beer you enjoy, it's nigh impossible to recommend one. I like wheat beer. Especially Dunkel Weiss, but it's hard to find. I usually go with the Paulaner Hefe-Weizen as it's widely available. Or Sam Adam's Winter Lager in season, and especially on tap (Sam Adams tends to be better on tap I think than bottled).

QFT.
I like Yuengling because it's inexpensive and it tastes quite a bit better than Bud, Miller, Coors, and all the other crappy standard American beers.
But it's not something I'd go out of my way to find. It doesn't really compare to really good beers like Blue Moon, Bass, Stella, Fat Tire, Pyramid Hef, Widmer Hef, or almost any micro brew.
