i'm going to get a 2.4 and o/c to 3.0. I just want it to say 3.0, don't really care about performance. I thinking just cheapo pc2700 and give it a high divider maybe.

2.4C? that runs at a FSB of 200MHz x 4 (because Intel is stupid) so you should get at LEAST pc3200. My choice of pc3200 is the buffalo with winbond chips.

When it comes to RAM, I find that the words "good" and "super cheap" never go together in the same sentence. You don't want to get 'buffalo'ed'. 😛

pc3200 and 2.4C dont go well together. since the 2.4C only has a multipler of 12, you need to get to 250 FSB to get 3.0 ghz which the pc3200 may limit

Go for the OCZ PC3500EL at newegg. Stuff works great.. And don't listen to all the crap people are saying about them. Thier customer support is outstanding.
