My wife and I saw quite a few shows when we were there last year. We both enjoyed Bite, which was a berlesque show at the stratosphere. Naked women, vampires, and acrobatics.... what more could you ask for? We also saw the burlesque show at the Flamingo, featuring pron star Sunset Thomas... wasn't as good. Very small...

We also say Carrot Top, which was funny.

Goto the Coke store on the strip for half priced tickets every morning! Great deals!

1) go to the restaurant at the top of the stratosphere, view is amazing, food is very good, and prices aren't that bad (about $150-200 for two people depending on drinks)

2) spend a night or two just walking the strip and drinking. stick to mixed drinks imo. we did this two nights, went through over half the casinos and stopped at a bar in most of them but never really got too drunk and had a great time.

3) hit the pool in the afternoon, drink lots of margaritas etc

4) we went to the improv at harrahs which was good

5) fremont street

6) if you have a ton of money to spend and like golf, Steve Wynn built an outrageously extravagant golf course out there, its like $600 per round though but its like no other course you'll ever see though. While your at it, check out his casino if you want to see something really over-the-top luxurious. Makes the bellagio and the venetian look like dumps tbh.

events in LV are just means for a husband to 'prove' to his wife it's not all debauchery down there.

Much depends on what your interests are.

All the canned entertainment you desire exists for a price along the strip.

There are some tourist museums.

Outside of Vegas, there is natural scenery, etc depending on one's tastes.

Was thinking about going sky diving.

Are the roller coasters any good at those casinos?

who the hell goes to vegas to ride rollercoasters or go skydiving? isn't vegas there for pretty much solely 1 reason?

I'm going to vegas for another reason. I'm trying to find something better to do than spend my spare time gambling. I don't get find gambling to be terribly entertaining.

That sounds a lot more entertaining than the strip clubs around here. I'll have to look into it. Typical clubs around here get pretty dull pretty quickly, even if you're drinking. I live near Portland, the strip club capital of the US.

Gambling: Set aside an amount of money to spend on gambling, and go to Vegas with the mindset that you will come back with none of that money. If you win, great. If you lose, you had fun doing it. When I went last year with my fiancee, we went for 4 nights and we brought $1000 each to gamble with. After some winnings and losing, we both came back with about $700 of that money each. We played craps and slots. Craps is fun; they're the loudest tables in the casino and it's not hard to win. Most casinos raise the table minimums in the afternoon before the night-time rush; if you get there before the table minimums are rasied, you can continue to play at the lower minimums. Slots are fun as well.

Buffets: You have to check out some of the buffets. The Bellagio buffet is decent, but it's definetly overhyped. Look up the Spice Market Buffet. It's cheaper and the food is much better.

Shows: We saw Le Reve. It's a water show. We paid a bit more for upgraded VIP tickets that included individual couches from an elevated seating area. It also included champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a mini screen in front of us to see the action under water.

There is a decent mall on the Strip just across from the Wynn.

At the sourth end of the strip (past Frys), there is an outlet store (Vegas Blvd & Warm Springs)

Many of the major casinos have shopping plazas/malls (spending or gazing).

There are small museums on/off the strip; Shark reef at Mandaly Bay.

Nothing to take up a whole day, but a 2-4 hours at each location
